A carved chestnut architectural elements on a custom made mount.
Both vigorously carved in high relief from a single section of chestnut with its first gilded finish still in place, they are a masterpiece of the Baroque style used widely throughout Porto in the early 18th century.

The sixty pieces currently for sale in our collection were removed from a church in Porto prior to demolition in 1979/80, they have remained in storage since then until being rediscovered earlier this year.
