A large pair of carved and gilt wall Pillasters of exceptional quality.

They are carved in high relief in tropical hardwoods. Usually such pieces are gesso moulded but these are far superior in their manufacture and finish.

The pair are unrestored and in excellent condition and have been in Drew's private collection for over a decade.

By repute, removed from the Argentinian Embassy in Rio de Janeiro.
