A pair of oak Lych gates in the Gothic taste.
The open panels would have originally housed fretted timber panels of metal/copper or leaded glass, long since lost, the majority of the hardware is period, the later but still 19th century addition we have left in place.
An extremely rare find, warped and scorched in part but they remain unrestored.
English, Sussex circa 1730.
